The news comes just one day after Canonical’s announcement that the Public Preview of Microsoft SQL Server on Linux was made available to users of the popular Ubuntu operating system, and it now looks like you can install SQL Server on your Red Hat Enterprise Linux computers as well, enjoying a powerful and advanced relational database management system. As expected, the availability of Microsoft’s SQL Server for Red Hat Enterprise Linux comes as huge news for corporations and businesses where Red Hat’s powerful Linux-based operating system is deeply appreciated and heavily used for both cloud and local infrastructures. SQL Server on Linux promises access to the SQL Hands-on Lab hosted on Microsoft Azure, but the Public Preview is not supported for production.
