Prominent new features included in the Red Hat Software Collections 2.3 suite are the latest MySQL 5.7 and Redis 3.2 open-source databases, PHP 7.0 and Perl 5.24 dynamic open-source programming languages, along with the Git 2.9 open-source project management tool, Thermostat 1.6 Java virtual machine (JVM) monitoring utility, and Eclipse Neon 4.6.1 integrated development environment (IDE). Apart from the awesome tools mentioned above, Red Hat Software Collections 2.3 includes many updated collections, among which we can mention PHP 5.6, Python 3.5, Ruby 2.3, and MongoDB 3.2. On the other hand, Red Hat Developer Toolset 6 brings lots of goodies for developers, including but not limited to GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) 6.2.1, GNU Project Debugger (GDB) 7.12, GNU binutils 2.27, elfutils 0.167, Valgrind 3.12, Dyninst 9.2.0, strace 4.12, and SystemTap 3.0.
