At LinuxCon on Tuesday, IBM announced they’re targeting a billion dollars towards Linux on their Power architecture. If this sounds familiar, it should. A billion bucks is the same amount that IBM said they???d spend on Linux in 1999, a move that forever changed the open source landscape.
