Salix Live Xfce 14.2 Beta 2 Released, Supports Booting on 64-bit UEFI Systems

Prominent new features include a brand-new “wait=n” boot parameter for delaying the Live CD, a new install_on_usb.sh script to allow users to install the ISO images on USB flash drives, support for booting on modern, UEFI machines (only the 64-bit ISO), persistent support for USB drives, and persistent Home directory support. The second Beta pre-release of Salix Live Xfce 14.2 also comes with the Sli Live installer, which allows users to install the operating system on their personal computer after using the live session and decide it’s a keeper. More details about how to perform a new Salix Xfce installation using the Sli Live installer are provided by the development team in the announcement.
