The Salix Xfce 14.2 GNU/Linux distribution was announced at the end of August 2016, based on the latest Slackware 14.2 operating system and Xfce 4.12 desktop environment, but it was only distributed as installable-only ISO images, which means no Live medium was available for download. That changes today, as the Salix Live Xfce 14.2 edition was launched, containing all the features that shipped with the Salix Xfce 14.2 flavor, including but not limited to two new in-house built graphical system utilities, namely GTKRepoSetup, a graphical interface for the reposetup CLI tool, and GUEFI, a boot manager for UEFI systems.
