Samba 4.3.0 Arrives with Support for Apple’s Spotlight, Logging Improvements

Samba 4.3.0 is a major release that adds numerous new features, such as support for Apple’s Spotlight via an integration with GNOME’s Tracker semantic data storage for desktop and mobile devices utility, support for logging to multiple backends, and a new FileChangeNotify subsystem that has uses a central daemon per node for handling every FileChangeNotify request and event by an asynchronous message from smbd to the notify daemon.
