Now that the release cycle of the current stable version, GNOME 3.22, has ended two weeks ago with the announcement of the second and last scheduled maintenance update, versioned 3.22.2, the GNOME developers can now concentrate all of their efforts on the development of GNOME 3.24, which will hit the streets next year on March 22. The development cycle of the GNOME 3.24 desktop environment will continue at a fast pace with two such snapshots, namely GNOME 3.23.3 and GNOME 3.23.4, due for release on December 14, 2016, and January 18, 2017, respectively. After that, GNOME 3.24 will enter Beta stages of development right after Valentine’s Day, on February 15.
