Slackware-Based SlackEX Distro Updated with Linux Kernel 4.12, KDE 4.14.35 LTS

SlackEX is built around the KDE desktop environment, and the latest release upgrades the KDE components to KDE Development Platform 4.14.35 LTS, which was introduced along with the KDE Applications 17.08 software suite series. Other updated components include Gparted 0.29.0, VirtualBox 5.1.26, and Google Chrome 60.0.3112. In addition, users will find pre-installed the GIMP 2.8.10 image editor and viewer, the GSlapt 0.5.4b and Slackpkg 2.82.1 graphical package managers (slapt-get GTK+ GUIs), Mozilla Firefox 55.0.3 web browser, Mozilla Thunderbird 52.3.0 email and news client, as well as Samba 4.6.7 and GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) 7.2.0. Also, GRUB2 is now the default bootloader for SlackEX.
