“Softimage recognizes that Linux will be critical to the
future of many of our customers, and therefore it is critical
for both Softimage 3D and Sumatra, as well. We have made
significant progress with Linux evaluations in R&D, with the
biggest open issue being proper OpenGL support. Although unlikely
that there will be a Linux version of Sumatra when v.1.0 is
released, Softimage is prepared to respond quickly when and if
market demand reaches critical mass.”
