indication that the two companies have suddenly decided to make
friends. Nonetheless, these compatibility maneuvers should make
things easier for IT types tasked with handling mixed NT-Solaris
environments. Both Sun and Microsoft have listened to the market
and understand that the mixed environment is going to be around for
a long time to come. And they both intend to capitalize on it.”
