In the system administration world, there is only one tool that is the ultimate system administration tool, SMIT for AIX.

But as we all know, SMIT is for AIX only, so to help with this, there is a new tool that has surfaced on Github called smc (System Management Console), which has features such as user management for adding and managing users, disk management and basic system management such as software installation, system update and kernel upgrade, a remote management section, it relies on separate programs such as nmon, nmap, iostat, etc.

It’s support for operating systems does vary, it has full support for debian based linux, red hat based linux and SuSE based linux, and as of version 3, full OS X support.

This is one of the best system administration tool I have ever seen, combining the power of bash with the power of UNIX that will I hope rival SMIT
