SystemRescueCd 3.5.1 updated the standard Linux kernel package to the Long-Term-Supported (LTS) 3.4.42 (with rescuecd and rescue64) and the alternative Linux kernel packages to the latest stable 3.8.9 kernel (with altker32 and altker64). Moreover, SystemRescueCd 3.5.1 includes the recently released GParted 0.16.0 software, which adds support for the F2FS (Flash-Friendly File System) filesystem, fixes a crash that appeared when copying or moving partitions, and resolves an issue when GParted scans forever blank disk in a virtual machine.
