SystemRescueCd 4.6.0 is powered by the long-term supported Linux 3.14.50 kernel package, which is the standard kernel of the distribution, enabled by default for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. The alternative Linux kernel packages have been updated as well, now based on the latest, most advanced, and long-term supported Linux 4.1.6 kernel, also available for 32-bit and 64-bit hardware architectures.
