SystemRescueCd 4.7.0 is powered by the long-term supported Linux 3.18.25 kernel, which is the standard kernel for the distribution, enabled by default for 32-bit and 64-bit systems, which means that Linux kernel 3.14.x LTS was finally replaced. Furthermore, SystemRescueCd 4.7.0 ships with Linux kernel 4.1.15 LTS, which is the alternative kernel used in the distribution, also available for 64-bit and 32-bit architectures. Linux kernel 4.1 is the latest, most advanced long-term supported kernel available on the market.
