The news is rife with screeching reports about the Heartbleed vulnerability, with some news outlets questioning the security model of open source. While it certainly is a bad thing, it’s also not the armageddon of the Internet that some in the media have been proclaiming it to be, and it’s not a harbinger of doom for open source software development either.
