With today’s announcement, the MATE Tweak tool received support for new window managers, including Mutter, which offers elegant GPU-accelerated desktop effects, and Metacity, which offers simple desktop effects. Other supported window managers in Ubuntu MATE’s MATE Tweak tool include Compiz for advanced GPU-accelerated desktop effects and Marco for simple desktop effects.
