Immediately after announcing the updated kernel for Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail), Canonical also unveiled updated kernel packages for its Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) operating system, a release that fixes two security issues discovered in the upstream Linux 3.5 kernel by various developers. These security flaws can be fixed if you upgrade your Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) system(s) to the linux-image-3.5.0-44 (3.5.0-44.67) package(s). To apply the update, run the Update Manager application.
