Canonical announced at the Ubuntu Developer Summit for Ubuntu 12.10, that they plan to bring a near-complete GNOME 3.6 environment, with Unity on top of it, of course. The upcoming GNOME 3.6 desktop environment, due for release on September 26th, will have SkyDrive support implemented in the gnome-documents package, focus-caret tracking support for GNOME Shell, Microsoft Exchange support in the GNOME Online Accounts app, IBus and XKB support.
