The Ubuntu Technical Board decided that Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is the last release to have the i386 non-PAE kernel flavor. In the same news, Canonical uploaded the Linux kernel 3.4.0 packages, based on the upstream kernel 3.4 RC5, for the upcoming Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) Alpha 1 release, on June 7th, 2012.
