New Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS ISO images are now available for download with Ubuntu and all of the official flavors that have participated in the Trusty Tahr release, including Kubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, Xubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, Lubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, Edubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 14.04.5 LTS, Ubuntu GNOME 14.04.5 LTS, Mythbuntu 14.04.5 LTS, and Ubuntu Kylin 14.04.5 LTS. These appear to be the last updated installation medium that Canonical will release for the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) series, and they bring a new Linux kernel from the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, as well as an improved graphics stack, both of which promising support for newer hardware components.
