Ubuntu 14.04 Alpha codenamed Trusty Tahr released

Canonical has released first Alpha image of Ubuntu 14.04 codenamed Trusty Tahr. Ubuntu 14.04 will be an LTS release which means it will be stable enough for business customers and will be supported for a five year cycle.

After a couple of boring releases, Trust Tahr will have some exciting features to look forward to. Trust Tahr will feature complete touch functionality, image based upgrades and the latest graphic stack Mir will debut which was supposed to arrive in Ubuntu 13.10.
