The Ubuntu Kernel Team rebased the upcoming kernel 4.0 packages for the Ubuntu 15.10 distribution on the upstream Linux kernel 4.0.5, which was released this past weekend, on June 6, 2015. At the moment, the Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) daily build ISO images are still using the kernel packages of the Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) operating system, but that’s about to change very soon because the 4.0.5-based kernels have been uploaded to the archive.
