Joseph Salisbury informs us that Canonical’s Ubuntu Kernel Team took the unanimous decision to rebase the upcoming Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) operating system on Linux kernel 4.1 once the final version is released by Linus Torvalds. While Ubuntu 15.10 remains rebased on Linux kernel 4.0.5, they are currently tracking the recently released Linux kernel 4.1 RC8 in their master branch.
