We’re always monitoring the development of the next major release of Ubuntu, and starting today, September 10, 2016, the default wallpaper of Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) has been changed as a new ubuntu-wallpapers package, version 16.10.0, arrived in the stable update channels of the upcoming GNU/Linux distribution. As expected, the wallpaper is available in two variants, the default orange one that you usually see when you first boot into a live Ubuntu session, as well as a silver one in case you want to use the Radiance desktop theme instead of the default Ambiance one for which the first wallpaper variant is designed.
