The Final Freeze stage is the final step in the development cycle of Ubuntu Linux, meaning that only release-critical bugs that affect the ISO images or the installers will be accepted from here on until the final release. It also means that Release Candidate (RC) images will soon be available for public testing. The final release of the Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo) operating system is expected to arrive next Thursday, on April 18th. It will be powered by the latest Linux 5.0 kernel series and ship with the recently released GNOME 3.32 desktop environment by default for the Ubuntu Desktop variant.
