Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 Beta 1 introduces new grub selection and slideshow, and adds the Youker Assistant app, which simplifies the way you use and manage your system(s), designed especially for non-professional Linux users. This first Beta of Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 also introduces a Unity China Video Scope, which displays Chinese video results searched via the popular Chinese video search engine Youku, as well as the Unity China Photo Scope, which displays Chinese photo results searched via Sogou, a popular Chinese photo search engine. Moreover, a brand-new version of the WPS office software is also available in Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 Beta 1, which is powered by the latest and greatest Linux kernel 3.11.
