Prominent features include new community wallpapers, better power management, custom menu entries for LibreOffice Draw, LibreOffice Math, Tilda, as well as Control Center applets, MATE specific defaults for Plank, and MATE support to xdg-utils. Powered by Linux kernel 3.19, Ubuntu MATE 15.10 Alpha 1 comes with better Bluetooth A2DP support, improved multimedia playback over Samba networks using the VLC Media Player app, as well as GTK+ 3 support for the Ambiant-MATE and Radiant-MATE themes.
