Ubuntu Scopes Showdown 2016 contest was initially announced at the beinning of the year, when Canonical put up prizes like a System 76 Meerkat Mini PC powered by a 5th gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 120GB SSD, and, of course, the Ubuntu Linux operating system. Other interesting prizes are Ubuntu Phone Convergence Packs containing a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, as well as a Slimport adapter, the awesome Steam Controller and Steam Link devices from Valve, a BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition phones, and Raspberry Pi 2 single-board computers.
