Ultimate Edition 5.4 arrives about three months after the launch of the previous stable release of the GNU/Linux distro, namely Ultimate Edition 5.1, which was based on the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) series and shipped with the long-term supported Linux 4.4 kernel. Built with the Tmosb 1.9.8 OS builder tool developed by TheeMahn, Ultimate Edition 5.4 is based on the recently released Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) operating system, which means that it inherits its Linux 4.10 kernel and up-to-date graphics stack based on Mesa 17.0.3 3D Graphics Library and X.Org Server 1.19.3 display server.
