Univention Corporate Server (UCS) 4.2 has recently entered development, based on the Debian GNU/Linux 8 “Jessie” operating system, and this first milestone is here to give users an early look at what’s coming to the final release of the Linux server OS later this year. Apart from rebasing the entire system on Debian Jessie, which is considered a major upgrade from the Debian GNU/Linux 7 “Wheezy” series that was used in previous versions of UCS, the Univention devs also managed to implement a lot of the latest GNU/Linux and Open Source technologies.
