free computer operating system Linux soon will have their
chance.”

“At least three companies aiming to profit from services
associated with Linux (pronounced LIN-ucks) have initial public
offerings in the works or being considered.”

“As for Torvalds, he has no plans to profit substantially from
any Linux-related IPOs. ‘Not having a company that could go under
if I say something stupid makes me very comfortable,’ Torvalds
says. He says he’s been given a ‘token’ number of stock
