Valve Rebases SteamOS to Debian GNU/Linux 8.4, Pushes New Brewmaster Beta

There aren’t many interesting changes in the SteamOS 2.68 Beta update, with the exception of the fact that the operating system has been rebased on the recently released Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 “Jessie” distribution. As usual, some of the packages included in SteamOS have been updated to patch various security fixes, which have been noted in the official release announcement. Among these, we can mention Cairo, GTK+ 2.0, imlib2, librsvg, libsndfile, PCRE3, SRTP, Nettle, and tzdata.
