VLC 2.1.6 Out Now, Version 2.2 Coming Soon, VLC 3.0 Still in Early Alpha Stages

VLC 2.1.6 is here as a quick fix release, replacing the existing VLC 2.1.5 version. This version fixes OSS (Open Sound System) stuttering issues, repairs a heap overflow in the decomp stream filter, fixes a buffer overflow in the updater component, and addresses an SRTP (Secure Real-time Transport Protocol) integer overflow in the application.
