Linus Torvalds, the father of the Linux kernel, posted a message on Google+ asking users to vote if they want the version numbering scheme of Linux kernel to change from 3.xx to 4.x. This is a very good opportunity for those of you who wanted for Linux kernel 4.0 to happen sooner.
