Being based on the recently released Debian GNU/Linux 8.0 (Jessie) operating system, Waha Linux 8.0 comes after several months of constant development and hard work. It is powered by Debian’s Linux 3.16.7 kernel and built around the GNOME 3.14 desktop environment. Waha Linux 8.0 (Hijra) comes with many under-the-hood and user-visible changes when compared to the previous version of the distribution, notably the adoption of the standard build method implemented in the Debian Live project, which is used as the base on Waha Linux.
