Ken Starks, a well-known and well-liked figure in the Linux and Open Source Communities presented the closing keynote at the Columbus Linux Fest last October. He spoke to a standing room only crowd about his non profit Reglue. But now, Ken announces that in January, he will once again battle the cancer that is trying to kill him. He has elected to have his entire larynx removed before the cancer can spread any further. Ken makes some good points as he outlines how he will keep Reglue up and running. It’s a brave effort considering that he will never speak again. If his keynote at Ohio was indeed his last speaking engagement, he most certainly went out on top. A link to that keynote is at the end of this article.
