Three new Linux firewall backends including FirewallD, Capsicum sandboxing and security capability support on FreeBSD and OpenBSD, and a new configuration scheme are among the highlights of SSHGuard 2. Version 2.0.0 makes it easier to configure for log sources such as the os_log on macOS and systemd journal on Linux.

SSHGuard is a small utility that reads your OpenSSH server logs and maintains increasingly aggressive block rules against brute-force attackers.
