Ken Starks is a long-time Linux Advocate and a champion for disadvantaged kids when it comes to technology. Ken’s efforts have led to over 1600 computers installed in the homes of financially disadvantaged Central Texas kids. Ken also gave the closing keynote address at the Ohio Linux Fest this year.
Ken is facing major surgery to remove his larynx and lymph nodes due to a 3 year bout with throat cancer. His organization Reglue is in the last couple of weeks of their annual fund raiser and that effort is running extremely low. Two Reglue volunteers will be handling the shop for the 3-5 months it takes Ken to recover, but they will need the money to do so. This man has done a lot for the Linux Community and I would like to ask you to support his efforts.
