Wine 1.8.3 is the third stable update of Wine 1.8, and looking at the release highlights, we can’t help but notice that it is mostly a bugfix release, but it also updates the National Language Support (NLS) files and adds support for numerous Nvidia graphics cards in the GPU description table. The full changelog, however, shows us that many Nvidia GPUs were incorrectly detected. These include Nvidia GeForce 9700M, which was detected as 9400M, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M, which was detected as GTX 470M, Nvidia Geforce 980 Maxwell, as well as Nvidia 800 series cards.
