Xubuntu 17.04 is not a major milestone, especially that it’s a short-lived release supported with security updates for only nine months from today, until mid-January 2018. However, it does bring various improvements and updates several apps and plugins to the latest GTK+ 3 technologies. You’ll need to install the libxfce4ui-glade package for Glade support in Xubuntu 17.04, which restores the camera functionality in the Mugshot tool designed for updating the personal details of users. Furthermore, both Numix and Greybird themes have been updated to support the latest GTK+ 3 toolkit.
