Canonical once again proves that their Snappy technologies are the future of Linux application distribution across multiple GNU/Linux distributions, and now that Discover was packaged as a Snap, users will be able to install the latest version of the software as soon as its released upstream, on their favorite operating system. Canonical’s engineers are offering the Discord app from the Snappy Store for all supported Ubuntu releases, as well as any other Linux-based operating system that supports Snaps. They already managed to test the installation of Discord in the Fedora 25 and openSUSE Leap 42.2 distributions.
