BackTrack 5 R1 is an update release to the original
BackTrack 5 operating system released on May 10th, 2011, and it
brings over 100 bugfixes, over 30 new scripts and 70 tools updated,
and lots of other general improvements. BackTrack 5 is an extremely
popular security oriented operating system. Dubbed Revolution,
BackTrack 5 is based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) and it’s
powered by Linux kernel 2.6.39.4, patched with all the relevant
wireless injection patches.
