BW: Guidance Software’s New Computer Forensic Software to Debut at Annual IACIS Conference

“Guidance Software Inc. announced that Version 2 of its
revolutionary EnCase computer forensic software program will be
unveiled at the upcoming conference of the International
Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) in
Orlando.”

“IACIS is an international non-profit organization composed
of law enforcement professionals
dedicated to education in the
field of forensic computer science.”

“The finalized release date for EnCase Version 2 is set for May
16. EnCase Version 2 includes many dramatic new features and
enhancements, including the following:

  • “Linux (EXT2) file system support that reconstructs
    file systems of forensically acquired Linux/Unix drives. As with
    all other media acquired with EnCase, an investigator will be able
    to view, search and sort files from Linux drives concurrently with
    other media involved in the same investigation in a completely
    non-invasive manner.”
