“Paktronix Systems announced today the availability of their
GuardianLinux line of network security systems.”

“The GuardianLinux Firewall is a complete turnkey security
management system providing full packet filtering capabilities with
a modular security enhancement interface. Modules include an IPSec
Virtual Private Network (VPN) hardware subsystem, forward and
reverse Network Address Translation (NAT), port forwarding and
proxy services, among others. The VPN hardware contains all IPSec
functions with a 45 Mbps throughput capability at 3DES encryption.
The modular design of the GuardianLinux Firewall allows all
security functions to be enabled, disabled, and configured
independently while the system is operational. Technical
Specifications available on request. All system software is under
GPL except for the IPSec hardware configuration utilities which are
licensed from the manufacturer.”
