“Rainfinity, provider of scalable Internet Reliability
Software(TM), announced today the introduction of a Linux version
of its high availability Rainwall clustering solution for the
Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture. Rainfinity is the first
OPSEC partner to offer a Linux-based high availability solution for
Check Point FireWall-1 and VPN-1.”

With the introduction of Rainwall for Check Point’s Linux
FireWall-1 and VPN-1, we are taking Linux to a higher level – that
of an enterprise solution that ensures reliability and security for
mission-critical Internet applications
,” commented Rainfinity
CEO, Olivier Helleboid. “We are pleased to be among the first
mainstream vendors to offer Linux versions of our software and
expect that many more vendors will follow suit.”

“Rainwall, Rainfinity’s flagship software product introduced in
April 1999, is the first fully distributed gateway clustering
solution for the Internet, and the first clustering solution to
simultaneously address the three most critical issues affecting the
Internet, namely availability, performance and scalability. When
Rainwall detects a hardware or software failure, it automatically
shifts traffic to a healthy gateway, reconfiguring seamlessly
without any interruption of service. Rainwall is a software only
solution and no special hardware or dedicated heartbeat network is
required.”
