“Progressive Systems, Inc., a leading provider of network
security solutions, and KDD Network Systems Co., Ltd., one of
Japan’s largest technology distribution companies, today announced
that the Progressive family of Linux-based firewall and VPN
solutions will be made available to the Japanese business market
through a newly formed partnership between the companies. At the
same time Japanese businesses of all sizes are making Internet
access a strategic priority, they are growing more concerned about
security. Because the Progressive Systems Phoenix Adaptive Firewall
provides a very stable and secure firewall in a fully
self-contained appliance format, Japanese businesses will be able
to obtain much needed Internet security very quickly. The Phoenix
Adaptive Firewall appliance is expected to be available to the
Japanese market in the second quarter of 2000 and pricing will be
available through KDD-NS.”
