The Linux lovefest officially has carried over into the new
millennium.

“At LinuxWorld, held here last week, companies announced a
barrage of enterprise-class applications and tools for the
open-source operating system….”

“Computer Associates International Inc. promised a version of
eTrust Access Control for Linux. The software acts as a security
guard for servers but gives the system manager control from a
central location. The product currently is available for Windows NT
and Unix. The linux version is now in beta and is expected to start
at $4,000 per server.”
