Editor’s Note: Holiday Schedule for Linux Today

In observance of the U.S. Independence Day holiday on July 4,
the Linux Today and LinuxPlanet staffs will be
taking an extended weekend off beginning at 2200 UTC this
afternoon.

This means that the weekend schedule that normally begins on
Friday afternoons will be extended by two days. Pre-posted stories,
however, will continue to progress on the site until early Thursday
morning.

Of course, we won’t entirely be resting on our laurels (well, I
will, because I have a broken toe); any security or kernel
development announcements will be posted as soon as possible–as
well as any important breaking stories. Talkbacks will be posted,
but at the slower weekend rate, so please be patient.

As always, I’d like to personally thank all of our readers for
making Linux Today one of the most popular Web sites about
Linux and Open Source on the Internet today. This has been, without
a doubt, a very tumultuous year in the Linux community, and your
continued support has helped us keep track of all of the important
events!

For those of you celebrating national holidays this month, we
wish you and your respective nations a safe and happy holiday!

Peace,
Brian Proffitt
Managing Editor
