Editor’s Note: Season’s Greetings and a Word on the Linux Today Holiday Schedule

With the holidays upon us, I’d like to take a few paragraphs to
wish everyone a pleasant season and note that Linux Today will be
going on vacation (for the most part) until January 2.

Beginning Monday and going through January 2, we’ll be checking
our inboxes for the usual important announcements and critical news
items, but LinuxToday will be slowing down quite a bit. We’ll still
post whatever talkbacks readers care to contribute and we’ll make
sure security and kernel updates are handled in a reasonably prompt
manner, but we’ll be posting fewer general interest items.

It has been a really challenging year here, and there’s no
denying that a break in the tempo for a few days will be welcome.
At the same time, I can’t help but look forward to starting back up
again in January. When I first joined Linux Today over 18 months
ago, I thought it was an honor and privilege to be part of the
site. Today, I’m just as proud and just as pleased to be working on
it.

The real flavor of Linux Today doesn’t come from the articles we
post, though, as much as it does our thoughtful and articulate
readers, and everyone who takes the time to contribute the news and
stories they find around the Web.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and I look
forward to seeing you all around the site in 2002.

Kind regards,

Michael Hall
