“Let me assure your readers that mi2g maintains a very strict
guideline in verifying the attacks on servers that we integrate
into our Security Intelligence Products and Systems (SIPS)
database. We find it curious that while the numbers have been
emphasizing more attacks on Microsoft Windows servers in previous
years, there has been little criticism of mi2g’s presentation
methodology from the open-source community. However, now that the
numbers are consistently demonstrating more hacker attacks against
Linux on-line servers, suddenly the mi2g methodology has become the
target of ill-founded criticism…”
